CIC Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that we have just completed another furnace controls upgrade project. This controls upgrade was applied to a 6-burner galvanizing furnace, on which we replaced the control panel, flame safety componentry, and PLC/HMI for system monitoring and control. The upgrade also included replacing the burner control from a single modulating air flow control valve to individual burner pulse-firing control.
While this upgrade was taking place, we were also visiting some other customer sites, tuning up a furnace combustion system, troubleshooting an electrical problem causing intermittent furnace trips, and pre-commissioning for a new furnace installation.
