So far this year, CIC Pittsburgh has installed and commissioned four new Hot Dip Galvanizing Furnaces at plants. We spotlight the first of these furnaces here.
This furnace is being used for a spinning operation. The new kettle and furnace are larger than the existing line, to support an increase in production.
As shown in the pictures, this furnace was designed with eight flat-flame burners to provide uniform heating all along the length of the kettle. The combustion system is pulse-fired, using CIC Pittsburgh’s cascade control technology that increase kettle life and provides for efficient gas usage.
