This week, CIC Pittsburgh started work on an engineering study to inspect an old Tip-Up Furnace, evaluate the structure, and develop recommendations for renovations. The furnace was originally built in 2010 and is used to heat alloy steel products up to 2100F. Its hearth is 26’ long x 12’ wide.
Part of the fun of doing this study is watching the furnace hood travel up and down to do a timing study on the lift cylinders.
Contact CIC Pittsburgh when you need a study to evaluate an existing condition, performance, productivity, reliability, efficiency, or any other concerns or issues you have.
